the happiest run for kids returns!
children love to run. they love to move, laugh, explore, and challenge themselves. the BML WOW KIDS RUN 2026 is back to celebrate exactly that — the energy, imagination and confidence of children. taking place on May 8th, just before Children’s Day, this event is a celebration of young runners across the Maldives. from tiny little ones taking their first race steps to teenagers ready to test their speed, the WOW Kids Run is designed to give every child a moment to shine.

organized by Total Fitness Group, this year’s edition promises to be even more exciting, more colourful, and more memorable than ever before.

new for 2026
for the first time, the 4km race will be a timed race open for teenagers starting from age 13. this category is open to any child currently studying in school and still in their teenage years. it gives young runners the opportunity to challenge themselves in a structured race environment and experience the thrill of competition.
for many, this will be their first step into serious running.

where: hulhumale central park
lineup: all race categories will start together and must be in starting line 4:20pm
races start: all races begin together (but in waves) at 4:30pm

where to collect your race gear?
race packs can be collected from Ma. Haivakaruge, Dhamburuh Magu, Male’ on the following days;
saturday (May 2nd) – 2:30pm – 6pm
sunday (May 3rd) – 2:30pm – 6pm
monday (May 4th) – 2:30pm – 6pm
tuesday (May 5th) – 2:30pm – 6pm
wednesday (May 6th) – 2:30pm – 6pm
we will not be issuing race packs on thursday before race and on race day.
