aro MVRUN 2024

the second edition of MVRUN will be held on the 7th of June, 2024 at hulhumale central park starting 7:00am, friday morning. we are giving away more prizes (cash) in this event, and it is important to know how you can be eligible for the prizes.

1. there are two types of registrations. first is the “competitive runners” category where you can register and challenge to WIN first, second or third place category CASH prizes in your chosen age categories (note that there are FIVE age categories, and we consider MALE and FEMALE prizes separately)

2. the second category is the OPEN category which we call the “lucky runners” category where you don’t compete to win firsts, seconds, or thirds, but you participate merely to cross the finish line in under 50 minutes. And if you do, you are automatically eligible for our cash prizes which we randomly pick.

3. also note that the competitive runners will also be eligible for the cash awards. if they turn out to be the lucky finishers at the draw!

aro MVRUN 2024 will be a 5k distance that can see many runners join in for the fun and test their luck in getting our prizes. talk about prizes, we have also changed a bit of our format from last year when it comes to cash rewards. for one, we are going to give the due cash rewards for a lot more age categories than just having a single category, applicable for both men and women. this year you can expect to have the following age categories and equal cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places both Male and Female runners;

under 19 both male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
20-29 age category male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
30-39 age category male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
40-49 age category male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
50 plus age category male and female 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

all 1sts regardless of gender and categories will get MVR7,500
all 2nds regardless of gender and categories will get MVR4,500
all 3rds regardless of gender and categories will get MVR2,500

if you have what it takes to win these cash rewards or want to test your performance and challenge yourself for the reward, then register today as a “competitive runner”. to compete and stand the chance to become 1st, 2nd or 3rd from your chosen age groups, your registration cost will be MVR666 inclusive of GST.
